Animal kingdom is divided into – animals without backbone (invertebrates) and animals with the backbone (vertebrates).

For example – Spider, Insects, Crabs and Worms are invertebrates. About 95% of entire animal kingdom is invertebrate animals. Most of them live hidden from view – in the soil, the sea or inside the barks of the trees.

Cow, horse, Crocodile, frog, bird and fish are vertebrates. Usually vertebrates are bigger than the invertebrates.

One can see only a certain animal in certain places – for example Kangaroo in Australia, Tiger and Panda in Asia, Giraffe and Swallow in Africa and Sloth and Scarlet Macaw in South America & in tropical forests.
