Fish are vertebrates. They lives in water – oceans, lakes and rivers. A fish can not live without water. But a few can live for a very short time on land.

Fish is a cold blooded animal. A Fish has scales on the body, fins to swim and gills to breathe. Baby fish come from eggs.

A fish eats small fish and other water animals. Shark is very big and a few sharks eat man. Whale shark is the largest fish.

One can have small fish at home, as pet animals in a small aquarium.
